Oreum SAT' Successfully Launched and Communicated from Vandenberg

The specialized space ground station company, CONTEC, announced that its first satellite, ContecSat-1, also known as 'Oreum SAT,' has been successfully launched and placed into orbit. The launch took place at 7:04 a.m. Korean time (2:04 p.m. Pacific time) on the 5th, using SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Approximately 15 minutes (949 seconds) after deployment, the satellite confirmed basic satellite status information and successfully established initial communication.
CEO, Sunghee Lee stated, "CONTEC is the only company that provides total services covering the entire value chain of the space industry. The successful launch of the Oreum SAT will be a significant milestone in expanding space into the private sector.
